Short plain-words meanings for the words you meet in Hushwork.
Words about using Hushwork
- Workflow - a job you describe once and can run again. It is a list of steps, saved under the name you give it.
- Step - one small piece of a workflow, such as "look at my calendar" or "send an email".
- Draft - a saved plan in Hushwork. A draft is only a plan to read. It is never sent anywhere.
- Builder - the page where you drag blocks into a plan and fill in their boxes.
- Block - one kind of step you can add in the Builder, such as Start or Ask the AI.
- Template - a ready-made workflow you can open in the Builder and change.
- Skill - one ready-made step you can add from the Skills list in the Builder.
- Bundle - a package of ready-made workflows on the Skills page. Turning one on saves its workflows. Nothing runs and nothing connects until you do it.
- Start - the first step. It says what starts the workflow, such as a schedule or "When I ask".
- Schedule - a time rule such as "Every weekday at 17:30". Hushwork then runs the workflow by itself at that time.
- Watch - a scheduled check that stays quiet unless something is new. It is made with the Start choice Keep watching.
- Quiet hours - from 20:00 to 08:00 your time. A watch never speaks up then.
- Speak-up - the one plain email a watch sends to tell you something is waiting. It says to open the Runs page. It never holds what was found. At most 3 a day.
- Memory - short facts you save in Settings, such as your timezone, that the AI may use as background.
Words about running and approving
- Run - one go at a workflow. You see it on the Runs page.
- Practice run - a run that only writes down what each step would do. Nothing leaves Hushwork.
- Live run - a record of something that really happened after you pressed Approve, such as an email sent or a task created.
- Approve - the button you press to let one step really happen, after reading the exact words on its card.
- Manual mode - the normal mode. Every real step waits for your Approve click.
- Auto mode - a mode you choose on purpose. It does every real step straight away, in order, without asking.
- Let it write by itself - a box on a schedule. If it is ticked, scheduled runs may send or create things while you are away. Otherwise they skip those steps.
- Plan only - a label on an old step that only describes what would happen. It never does anything.
- Not sure if this happened - a step that was started but whose end Hushwork never saw. It is not sent again by itself. You check the app first.
- Pause switch - a switch only the owner can flip that stops writing, AI calls and scheduled runs for everybody.
- Placeholder - a word in curly brackets that gets replaced, such as
{answer},{answers},{last}and{myEmail}. - Gmail draft - an email saved in your Gmail Drafts. Nothing is sent until you send it yourself.
Words about apps and connections

- Connect / Disconnect - the buttons that give or take back that permission.

- Read only - able to look but not change.
- Not available yet - an app that is listed but cannot be connected yet.
